What programs are offered through Therapeutic Recreation?

The Therapeutic Recreation division offers ongoing programs for individuals with disabilities which may include, but are not limited to:

Blind/visually-impaired
Developmental/intellectual
Hearing-impaired
Mental health
Physical

The programs have an emphasis participation, socialization, community awareness, inclusion and development of recreation/leisure skills that carry over to the home and community. Programs include:

Ramblers
Club Rec
TRips
a number of monthly and seasonal programs

2. Who can participate in Rowan Senior Games and SilverArts?: Salisbury/Rowan Senior Games invites any adult in Rowan County age 50 years or better to participate.

4. Can I hide a geocache in one of Rowan County's parks?: Geocachers are allowed to hide caches on Rowan County Park property if they follow rules established by the Rowan County parks. View the rules for hiding geocaches.
