CDBG-CV GRANT PROGRAM OVERVIEW FOR ROWAN COUNTY, NC 

At the beginning of October, the Rowan County Board of Commissioners held the first public hearing with intent to submit a grant package application to NC Commerce for Rowan County on behalf of agencies that would like to utilize CDBG-CV funds for new or expanded projects and programs that have impact to Low-Moderate Income (LMI) individuals within Rowan County as it relates the prevention, response or preparation for COVID-19.  

As Rowan County can only submit one package application at maximum of request of $900,000, we have created an application process that will be reviewed by County Staff and then presented for Board approval planned for the December 7^th Commissioners meeting.  We know there has been high interest in this program, and we look forward to your application responses.   Rowan County will bundle one or more program submissions with the assistance of our contracted grant preparation firm to NC Commerce shortly thereafter.
