[ARCHIVED] Annual Shop with a Cop Program

The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office welcomes the opportunity to work with families in our community, especially those with underprivileged children who may not have the same opportunities as other children. Shop With A Cop is one of the ways we strive to strengthen our community and reach out to these families.

Our office strives to make this a positive experience for the children. In partnership with Salisbury Walmart, children in need will be able to purchase gifts for Christmas, including ones for themselves as well as other family members. Due to Covid 19 restrictions this year all shopping will be done on Walmart.com. Children that are accepted for the program will create a wish list on Walmart.com. Items will then be purchased by the officers. A drive-thru pick-up date will be scheduled for families to pick up gifts.

Please Note

Deadline for applications is: November 2, 2020.
Acceptance notifications will begin: November 6, 2020.
Children must be 11-14 years old to participate.
Family resides in Rowan County.
One child per household will be accepted.

A committee will make selections from applications based on information received through applications. Children who have not participated before will be given priority, however all applications will be given serious consideration. Given the popularity of the program, we may have more applications than openings.

By completing this application, you give the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office the right to make inquiries to other organizations about assistance you are receiving.
