Rowan County COVID-19 Testing

As part of the Public Health Department’s campaign for increased COVID-19 testing, a free drive-thru event was held today at West End Plaza.

Public Health Department Director Nina Oliver said, “We had a very successful day and tested 138 of our citizens. Every sector of our community has the opportunity to be tested at numerous testing sites throughout the week.”

There are two remaining drive-thru events at West End Plaza. They are being held each Monday in June from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Additional testing opportunities are detailed on the County’s COVID-19 Information website (www.rowancountync.gov/COVID-19).

Rowan County communities should remain focused on vigilance while in public. Businesses and citizens are highly encouraged to follow the 3 Ws and respect the efforts of others to engage in healthy habits. Even though we face fewer restrictions, it is important to maintain safe practices.
