Rowan County Case Information:

Happy Memorial Day

The Public Health Command Team would like to wish our community a very happy and safe Memorial Day.  As we are now in Phase 2 of the state plan, there are many options to take advantage of. While you and your family enjoy the long weekend, please be sure to keep safety in mind.

Be mindful and cooperative with requests from businesses and gathering places.  They are trying their best to provide a safe environment for you and comply with state requirements also.  Don’t forget to pack your masks and hand sanitizer.  Keep distancing in mind especially in shopping areas, beaches, and other locations that might have crowds.

Remember the 3 W’s

Individuals and families can help slow the spread by continuing to follow the 3 W’s.  Whether working or shopping at local businesses, please remember to WEAR, WAIT, and WASH!

  • Wear a cloth face covering
  • Wait 6 feet apart/ avoid close contact
  • Wash your hands often or use hand sanitizer
