Food and Nutrition Services Benefits

North Carolina Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) participants are able to purchase groceries online using their Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards at authorized online EBT retailers. Taking advantage of this ability will help participants who might be isolated because of COVID-19, or who have transportation difficulties or mobility barriers.

Currently, Amazon and Walmart are the only authorized retailers for online FNS purchases. However, the state continues to encourage other retailers to become registered.

More information about North Carolina Food and Nutrition Services can be found on the Food and Nutrition Services website. North Carolina individuals and families can apply for FNS through the FNS Application online.

NC 2-1-1 Website - Limited Early Release to Support COVID-19

NC 2-1-1 has launched an online tool to make finding resources even easier and more accessible. United Way of North Carolina operates the service to provide information and referral services.

Free and confidential information related to health and human services is available through the NC 2-1-1 Online Tool.
