Looking Forward to Rowan County’s First Business Week in Phase 1

As Rowan County businesses and employees are looking forward to the first full week in Phase 1 of Governor’s Cooper’s three-phased plan, we’d like to offer useful information for our community to stay safe at work.

It is important to note that it is all of our responsibility to make sure social distancing, frequent cleaning,  and wearing masks are adhered to.  According to the state guidance, “If infections spike or benchmark trends begin to move in the wrong direction, the state may move to a previous phase to protect public health.”  We can stay ahead of the curve by taking precautions seriously and providing safe places of business.

Employees can help by participating in business plans to perform frequent environmental cleaning of all surfaces.  Additionally, individuals can develop an etiquette for coughing, sneezing, and handwashing that is careful to minimize spreading of the virus.  Lastly, don’t hesitate to stay home if you are feeling ill.

Individuals can use the CDC Self Checker guide to make decisions and seek appropriate medical care.

We are looking forward to moving through the 3 phases of Governor Cooper’s plan as much as our community is.  However, it is critical that we remain dedicated to keeping healthy distances from each other and wearing face masks while away from home.
