Clarification of Hospital Bed Summary

Upon further refinement of information, the Public Health Command Center is issuing a correction to information distributed yesterday. The reported number of hospital beds in use was incorrectly stated as 30; there was 18 beds currently occupied. The combined number of hospital beds dedicated to COVID-19 patients at Novant Rowan and the VA Medical Center remains at 102. Additionally, there were 61 ventilators on hand between the 2 hospitals; 9 are in use at that time.

The Public Health Command Center remains committed to providing accurate information and stands ready to support the needs of each of Rowan County’s hospitals.
