At the date, time and place indicated above, the Rowan County Board of Commissioners will conduct a public hearing to receive comments regarding its intent to extend the six (6) month moratorium ordinance for establishing or expanding ground mounted solar energy systems (photovoltaic arrays) located in Rowan County’s planning jurisdiction. The current six (6) month moratorium is set to expire on April 7, 2020 and the Commission’s intent is to extend the deadline by at least another four (4) months.

Be advised that significant changes to the public hearing version of the moratorium ordinance may occur as a result of public comment or action taken by the Commission.
