In the interest of following federal, state and local guidelines for social distancing, NC Cooperative Extension Rowan County Center will be implementing appointments only for Extension related business.  Please call 704-216-8970 before visiting the Extension Center to arrange an appointment.  Cooperative Extension is committed to providing services to Rowan County.  Please look to our social media and web site http://rowan.ces.ncsu.edu for more information.

Rowan County Department of Environmental Management suspends volunteer involvement

In response to COVID-19 the Rowan County Department of Environmental Management will suspend our practice of allowing volunteers to work at our Rowan County Solid Waste and Recycling center locations effective March 26, 2020.  Community Service program participants who may report to any of our sites will be asked to leave and contact the Community Service Program (NC DPS) office. Additionally we have implemented a modification to our practice of performing customer cash transactions which will adhere to mandated social distancing protocols.

Rowan County Register of Deeds to modify public access amid COVID-19

The Rowan County Register of Deeds is modifying its public access effective immediately. A phone / intercom has been placed outside the office doors with instructions on how to contact us; once notified of the citizen’s specific needs staff will either direct them to the appropriate department or allow them to enter so that their request can be fulfilled.
