Rowan County Public Will Host Another COVID Drive-thru Clinic for Phases 1a and 1b; Group 1 on Thursday, January 14th

Rowan County Public Health will continue their COVID vaccine drive-thru clinic tomorrow for any individual that falls into Phase 1a or Phase 1b; Group 1. This vaccination phase will include all individuals 75 years of age and older, regardless of health status or living situation, and any remaining healthcare workers or long-term care staff.

This will be a drive-thru vaccination clinic, which will be held at the West End Plaza/the old Salisbury Mall (1935 Jake Alexander Blvd. , West). Please plan to enter the West End Plaza from Statesville Blvd. and at the intersection of Admiral Drive; directly in front of Food Lion. You must enter the parking lot coming eastbound(heading back towards Salisbury), so that you can make a right turn into the West End Plaza parking lot. If you are coming westbound from West Innes Street or Jake Alexander Blvd. (going towards Statesville), you will be required to make a U-turn past the Westend Plaza on Statesville Blvd. in order to be headed back in the right direction. Please be aware that the city/county personnel will be at the entrance of the West End Plaza to help instruct you where to go.

No appointments are necessary and the clinic will be held from 9:30 AM until vaccine supply is exhausted, or 3:30 PM.

For your comfort and safety, you will not be allowed to enter the parking lot before 6 am. If you do, local law enforcement will ask you to leave. Also, please note that we are working to prioritize Rowan County residents in the vaccination process.

For this clinic, citizens will be asked to verify their age, answer a few questions either on paper or on a tablet, and provide insurance cards, if they have them. If you would like, you can download this required form in advance, complete it, and bring it with you. Please also note, that the vaccine is FREE to everyone; however we are filing insurance for administrative costs. Please know, however, that there is no cost to you, regardless of insurance.

We thank you in advance for your patience and ask that you please be prepared to wait. Also please note; that we do have a limited supply of vaccine from the state, so you may be asked to come back another day to receive your vaccine. Thank you for your understanding!

As we go forward, please know that Rowan County Public Health’s number one priority is to ensure that all Rowan County citizens that want a vaccine can receive it, while also balancing vaccine supply and abiding by the phased approach provided to us by NCDHHS.
