Rowan County Public Health Vaccine Information

Rowan County Public Health will continue their COVID vaccine drive-thru clinics for any individual that falls into Phase 1a or Phase 1b; Group 1 as soon as possible. This vaccination phase will include all individuals 75 years of age and older, regardless of health status or living situation, and any remaining healthcare workers or long-term care staff.

Rowan County Public Health continues to wait on vaccine supply from NC DHHS. Our goal is to get vaccine out as quickly and effectively as we can. We understand the lack of vaccine is frustrating to many. We are heartened that so many individuals are willing to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

Please monitor our website, social media pages, call line, and local media for changes and updates. Our call line is: 980-432-1800. We will be updating all of these modes of communication expeditiously.

For drive-thru clinics, citizens will be asked to verify their age, answer a few questions either on paper or on a tablet, and provide insurance cards, if they have them. Please note, that the vaccine is FREE to everyone; however we are filing insurance for administrative costs. Please know, however, that there is no cost to you, regardless of insurance.

We thank you in advance for your patience as we work through these logistical issues. Also please note; that when we do receive vaccine, we are receiving a limited supply, so you may be asked to come back another day to receive your vaccine. We will do our best to monitor lines and provide information through local media partners, social media, and our website for changes. Thank you for your understanding!

As we go forward, please know that Rowan County Public Health’s number one priority is to ensure that all Rowan County citizens that want a vaccine can receive it, while also balancing vaccine supply and abiding by the phased approach provided to us by NCDHHS.
