K-9 Teams

Duties & Responsibilities

The Rowan County Sheriff's Office currently has six working K-9 Teams. Their responsibilities include assisting with courthouse security, traffic interdiction, narcotics detection and community programs. The canines are also used to track wanted and missing persons. They are a valuable resource for the Sheriff's Office and the citizens of Rowan County. The teams are supervised by Sergeant Smith.
