 Book Clubs

Book Bites Book Club is a hybrid book discussion group that meets online via Zoom and in-person in the RPL HQ, Hurley Room.  A new book is chosen each month and at the end of the month attendees gather to discuss the story, the author, and to explore the themes of the book. Digital & Technology Instruction

Technical assistance with e-readers, smartphones, and other devices is offered at the reference desk at any branch. Stop by the reference desk at any branch for help navigating technical devices and resources.

Classes and instruction in digital resources are offered periodically throughout the year. Stop by the branch to learn about various resources available to library card holder including NC Digital Library, NCLive, Ancestry Library Edition, Fold 3, ProQuest African American Heritage, Gale Courses, and more.

Study Areas

Study Rooms 

Most branches have study rooms available for groups of 3 or fewer. Contact the preferred branch to ask about study room availability and restrictions.

Outside spaces

South offers an outside deck for small groups, lunches, or craft projects. The South Deck is free and open to the public.

Writing Club

Wednesday Writers Club for Adults allows discussion, group sharing, group writing prompts, and peer-to-peer reviews This program allows writers to connect with each other, find resources and to improve their craft, and get tips on publication. Contact Wendy for more information.
