Rowan Wild offers a wild variety of educational programs for schools, individuals, and groups, preschool through adult. Many of our programs feature our animal ambassadors and/or hands on activities. Our programs are offered on site, through outreach, and virtually. For more information about individual programs check out the links to the left!
The Animal Services department also oversees the Nature Center (featuring the Cheerwine Aquarium), the Stanback Barnyard, and Wildlife Adventures at Dan Nicholas Park. These attractions maintain a collection of live North Carolina native animals including non-venomous and venomous snakes, raptors, birds, and mammals.
List and descriptions of all programs offered online, virtually, through Zoom.
The majority of our programming happens right here at Dan Nicholas Park where we have an indoor auditorium, an outdoor amphitheater, and various natural areas that we can utilize, but we also do offer trail walks at both the Eagle Point Nature Preserve and Dunn's Mountain Nature and History Preserve.
